A life long resident of Western New York I grew up in Bushnell's Basin. After graduating from Pittsford Mendon High School I worked at my father's Graphic Art Design and Printing Company, Carey Associates/Rochester House of Printing on Monroe Avenue in Rochester. I was involved in all aspects of the business doing everything from pre-press work, pressman, art department artist and darkroom supervisor. I changed careers in 1978 to law enforcement, working at the Livingston County Sheriff's Office in Geneseo. I stayed involved with art and photography and after retiring recently decided to seriously pursue my passion for both once again. I made the move to digital cameras several years ago and have applied my experience with film and filters in the field to the new technology. My photographs are from local scenery and events as well as from when I travel.
